Functional nutrition looks beyond symptom management to understand why symptoms are happening in the first place. Rather than following a generic “healthy eating” plan, we examine your health history, lab data, lifestyle, stress patterns, and nutrient status to identify underlying imbalances.

How is functional nutrition different from a registered dietitian or health coach?
My work blends advanced training in functional medicine with personalized nutrition and behavior change coaching.

Unlike general nutrition counseling, I use functional lab testing, root-cause analysis, and a structured clinical framework to support complex concerns like autoimmune conditions, thyroid dysfunction, hormone imbalance, and chronic digestive issues.

Compared to a health coach, my training allows me to interpret advanced labs and create targeted, individualized nutrition strategies for chronic illness.

Why shouldn't I just eat healthy on my own?
Because healthy looks different for every person. What works for someone else may not work for your specific nutrient deficiencies, genetics, or condition. Beyond the personalization, having someone in your corner for accountability, coaching, and problem solving when life gets busy makes a real difference in whether changes actually stick.
Do you replace my primary care doctor?
No. My services are not a replacement for medical care. I often work alongside primary care physicians, endocrinologists, and other specialists to ensure you receive comprehensive support.

If medication adjustments are needed, those decisions are always made by your prescribing provider.
