Meet Jess Sorci
MS, CNS®, LDN, Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine Practitioner
The Story Behind My Practice
I didn’t come to functional medicine only through textbooks — I also came to it through personal experience.
Within months of a profound personal loss, my body began betraying me in ways I never thought possible. Panic attacks struck for the first time in my life. My hormones plummeted so severely I could barely function. I developed hypothyroidism and had positive thyroid antibodies, I had severe digestive issues, my immune system couldn’t keep up, and sleep became impossible.
Here I was, a functional medicine practitioner, completely blindsided by my own body’s response.
Despite years of training and a toolkit of interventions that had helped countless clients, I found myself struggling to make sense of my body’s response to grief. None of it seemed to apply to what I was experiencing.
That experience fundamentally transformed how I approach healing. I discovered that true recovery requires more than optimizing nutrition, interpreting labs, it demands acknowledging how our deepest emotional experiences literally reshape our biology.
Today, I guide clients through this same territory where grief meets healing, combining clinical expertise with the hard-won wisdom that only comes from walking this path yourself.

Functional Medicine||Nutrition
As both a functional medicine practitioner and functional nutritionist, I take a comprehensive approach that goes beyond treating symptoms in isolation. I look at how every system in your body is interconnected and work to address root causes.
Through functional nutrition, I use food as medicine to support hormone balance, reduce inflammation, heal the gut, and strengthen your body’s foundation. Functional medicine allows me to dig deeper with advanced lab testing, nervous system support, and personalized protocols to uncover why symptoms develop in the first place.
This integrated approach creates a complete framework for healing, one that’s scientifically grounded, informed by real-world experience, and designed specifically for your unique needs.
A Root-Cause Approach
Because true healing isn’t one-size-fits-all — it’s personal, and it must address both body and mind.

Supplements That Actually Support You
One of the biggest frustrations I hear from clients is wasting money on random supplements that don’t make a difference, or worse, make things worse. With so many options out there, it’s almost impossible to know what’s safe, effective, or right for your body.
That’s why I provide access to practitioner-grade supplements, carefully selected to match your unique needs. Whether you’re working with me one-on-one or simply looking for trusted options, you can feel confident knowing these products are high-quality, backed by science, and tailored to support real healing.

Leaky Gut Support
Supports your digestion, absorption, and helps heal intestinal permeability (leaky gut).

Autoimmune Reset
Supports your immune system and your body’s natural detoxification processes.

Stress and Anxiety Support
Helps you feel more calm, resilient, and grounded, without sedation or dependency.
Life Beyond the Clinic
When I’m not working in my practice, I love being in the mountains. I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, and camping with my husband Nathan and our two chocolate labs.
I also enjoy astrophotography and am working on growing vegetables in my garden.
